The Ancient Egyptian Mysteries of Death and the Underworld

  • Love Shack 299 Cambridge Heath Road London, England, E2 9HA United Kingdom (map)

Fresh from his recent research travels in Egypt, Darren Le Baron returns with new insights into one of humanity’s most profound initiatory traditions: the ancient Egyptian mystery system of death, rebirth, and the underworld.

In this immersive talk, Darren explores the mythic landscapes of the Underworld of Amenta also called the Duat, not as distant religious symbols, but as encoded maps of consciousness. Moving beyond textbook narratives, he examines how the Egyptians understood death not as an end, but as a transformational process, noe that mirrors psychological, spiritual, and even psychedelic initiation.

Drawing from mythology, archaeology, esoteric traditions, and his own research into altered states and entheogenic practices, Darren translates the ancient Egyptian mystery system into a framework that is both practical and relevant for modern seekers. What did the journey through the underworld truly represent? Were these myths symbolic descriptions of consciousness exploration? And how can these ancient teachings inform how we live, die, and transform today?

This presentation invites you to reconsider death, not as something to fear, but as a gateway to deeper self-knowledge, sovereignty, and renewal.
